Star Jones Wedding (you know what's coming next)

You all know about Star Jones. She was the one fired from the View. Many of you might remember her huge and rather fancy wedding to Al Renolds.

Star has quite the expensive taste. To start off this PR journey, Star registered at almost every major retailer in the USA (Cha Ching for them). To give you an example of how rediculous her taste is, she registered for a $200 ice cream scoop from Tiffany's. I kid you not. Do you know what I can get for $200!?!

Now what could be so bad about her wedding thus far you ask? It gets worse. Star's extravagent wedding was entirly funded by sponsors. The following are some items that were donated for her wedding. h
  • invitations (from Encore Studios and The Stationery Studio)
  • tuxedos (Sarno & Son)
  • bridesmaids' gowns (Lazaro Bridal)
  • Official Airline of their wedding weekend (Continental)

In return, these donors were looking for plugs in return. (Still not joking)

She took an extreme amount of heat while on the View for soliciting freebies ON AIR!!! This lady is so crazy she doesn't even realize how tacky it is!

When asked about the wedding, go 'ol Al said he knew nothing of the wedding being sponsored. The two are now divorced. My guess is that lack of communication may be the culprit.

Celebrity Wedding Dresses

Ah celebrity weddings...we love to indulge in looking at the photos. Admit it...you do! And companies know this because it it free press for all their products. From dresses to event designers, from stationary to flowers, if your company is involved in a celebrity wedding, brides will know. Here are a few examples of dresses :

Katherine McPhee of American Idol fame recently got married. Her dress was an amazing Pronovias creation. Similar to any awards show, everyone wants to know what you are wearing.

Secondly, I'd like to point out Eva Longoria Parkers' dress. For those of you who are not famillar with her, she is Gabby on Desperate Housewives. Eva's dress was a custom Angel Sanchez. The dress design was featured in a People magazine article. A clipping is to the right.

I admit, I loved Katherines dress and am wearing Pronovias to my wedding in May!
